WHY I want my MOM to get a Garage Makeover

My name is Wendi…. I am the 32 year old daughter of Victoria …….  Lately, I have been helping (my mom calls it forcing) my mother live a “clutter free” life.  So, instead of feeling like a daughter I’ve been feeling like a mom to my own mom.

Let me tell you a bit about Victoria…..

One word:  AMAZING!!

She lives her live unselfishly.  My mom could work a 60 hour week and still have energy to come over to my house to help me with the children.  Victoria is now a grandma (we call her ‘MiMi’) of three grandchildren!  I have never seen her happier.  My mom is divorced so she lives by herself…I think because of this she holds onto EVERY tangible item for the memories.  My mom fights organization with a passion.  I recently helped her organize her office and she LOVES IT.  After a LOT of fighting she told me that she feels a sense of relief and now loves being in the room.  Her garage has gotten so cluttered with “stuff”.  Stuff (I call junk) that she won’t discard because of the “memories”. For example, her cat passed away months ago; however, in the garage you will find his litter box, bags of unopened litter and food.  I truly believe that her garage has gotten so out of hand my mom is just overwhelmed.  The garage is so overbearing that she just doesn’t know where to start and just avoids going in there.

PLEASE help me give my mom the best gift a daughter could give!!  A chance to live “clutter free”!!!  I know this change will ease her stress.  Also, it will give her a SAFE place to let her grandkids run around.
